No Prescription:
Nolvadex, an anticancer drug, is given to treat breast cancer. It also has proved effective when cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Nolvadex is most effective in stopping the kind of breast cancer that thrives on estrogen.
Nolvadex is also prescribed to reduce the risk of invasive breast cancer following surgery and radiation therapy for ductal carcinoma in situ. The drug can also be used to reduce the odds of breast cancer in women at high risk of developing the disease. It does not completely eliminate your chances, but in a five-year study of over 1,500 high-risk women, it slashed the number of cases by 44 percent.
Nolvadex is used for the treatment of invasive breast cancer, the most common type of breast cancer, following surgery and/or radiation and for preventing invasive breast cancer in women at high risk for developing it. Nolvadex also is used for the treatment of women following surgery and radiation for a less common type of breast cancer called ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS or intraductal carcinoma). Women who have had ductal carcinoma in situ are at high risk for developing invasive breast cancer at a later date, and Nolvadex prevents development of the invasive cancer in almost half of the women during the first five years of treatment. Occasionally, Nolvadex is used to stimulate ovulation.
Without Prescription:
Nolvadex - an antiestrogen (blocks effect estrogen on a fabric). The exact mechanism of its action is unknown, but one possible mechanism - that it connects and blocks receptors estrogen on a surface of cells, interfering estrogens to connect and make active a cell. It is used in patients to consider and prevent a chest cancer. The contradiction now exists, concerning which chest patients of a cancer will benefit by this treatment.
This prescription is used for treatment of an aggressive chest cancer, the most usual type of a chest cancer, after surgical operation and-or radiation and to prevent an aggressive chest cancer in women at high risk to develop it. Nolvadex also is used for treatment of women after surgical operation and radiation for less usual type of the chest cancer named ductal carcinoma on a place (DCIS or intraductal carcinoma). Women who had ductal carcinoma on a place - at high risk to develop an aggressive chest cancer later, and Nolvadex prevents development of an aggressive cancer in almost half of women within first five years of treatment. Sometimes, Nolvadex is used to stimulate an ovulation.
